Counsellor and Trauma Informed Psychotherapist
My psychotherapy practice is deeply informed by my training and experience working in the Conversational Model (CM). The CM is an evidence based, trauma-informed process model that is continually evolving within a research and training program run by Sydney University.
The CM provides a broad theoretical framework that informs psychodynamic understanding of the issues that bring people into therapy; in other words, how did current issues develop?
I believe that the therapeutic process is based on conversation that explores the past, present and future, in order to promote resolution, change and growth. The therapeutic space must be a confidential, non-judgemental, safe place of exploration and meaning making.
I will listen deeply and respectfully; and together we can work towards understanding your story. This deeper understanding provides the starting point for growth and change.
